This painting draws from time spent around Dandahra Falls and Lyrebird Rock in Gibraltar Range National Park, where the bush shifts between stillness and movement. I’m interested in how pigment settles and drifts, how details are scrubbed back and then reappear. The work sits between landscape and abstraction, shaped by colour, memory and the material decisions made in the studio.
